I raved about the first book, Everneath. And now I'm desperate to get my hands on the sequel! GAH. The ending of Everneath was just too much of a tease and I must know what happens next! Plus, the cover is absolutely stunning. I love how the dress sort of dissolves into smoke in both the first book and its sequel. *sigh* 2013 is a long wait.

The cover for this book was released this past week, and I LOVE IT! The colors, the rising K...just, WOW. And if you read the summary, it's refreshing to know that the book is from a guy's POV. That's a rare thing in YA, and I am excited! This looks thrilling, mysterious, and fun. Too bad I'll have to wait until April 16 to get my hands on this lovely book. <333

Holy COW. This sounds like nothing I've read before. NOTHING. And I cannot wait to read this book. I'm not a huge fan of the cover, but the concept is really intriguing. Weaving time? Spinsters? Count me in! The rave reviews that have been posted so far have made me even more excited. So, what are you all waiting on this Wednesday? I'd like to know!

This sweet cover was revealed two weeks ago, and BOY OH BOY is it fantastic. I find the girl's pose a bit awkward, but...fascinating at the same time. She looks angry, defiant, and sad at the same time! Anyway, enough about the cover. Did you read the synopsis? And doesn't sound exciting? I'm not a huge fan of angel books, but this doesn't really seem to be so much about angels as it is about life, good vs. evil, etc. And I like that! Can't wait to get my hands on this come January. I want this book. So bad. The Girl of Fire and Thorns was amazing and this book has been on my top 10 most anticipated titles of 2012. Seriously, though, the cover is gorgeous and the summary promises to be a fun and epic adventure. I can't wait to explore more of Elisa's word and I can't wait to see her grow even more as a character.

So about a week ago, the US cover of Stormdancer was revealed. And it is awesome. If I was interested in the book before, I am now DYING to get my hands on an ARC. I love its illustrated feel, how fierce the girl looks, and its use of color!

But really: Japanese Steampunk? Count. Me. In. That's all I have to say about this book!

I have yet to read her Parasol Protectorate series, but I've heard great things about it! And I will dive into those books when I have the time. Anyway, doesn't this book sound awesome? I can't wait for it to be released! And I don't think I will need to read the Parasol Protectorate novels in order to enjoy this.  Also, the cover is pretty...unique. I like that! Wow: Defiance (and Brattle Book Shop!)

For those of you who are curious, I had an amazing trip to Maine, Boston, NYC, and DC. I will spare you details of my traveling adventures but I must include a few pictures of this AMAZING bookstore in Boston. It's called the Brattle Book Shop, and it has books dating back to the late 1800s (although most were from 1950 and onward). Here are some pics I thought my fellow book-lovers would enjoy.

So there you have it. Pretty awesome, huh? And I had planned on posting up pictures of my book haul for the past 2 weeks, but that will have to wait till Sunday. I just didn't want to clutter this post with too many pictures.

Harper Collins has MANY amazing book releases this year, but Defiance  is definitely on the top of my list. It promises an amazing and adventerous ride through what I anticipate to be a very fascinating world. I can't wait for it to be released! And the cover is quite stunning. From the summary and the cover, I'm pretty sure that Rachel will end up being a pretty strong, kick-butt heroine. And who doesn't like a kick-butt heroine?

Waiting on Wednesday: Throne of Glass

Back in 2007, I came across a story on Fiction Press. The premise of the story intrigued me. Cinderella as an assassin? The amount of reviews it had further piqued my curiosity and I began to read. Needless to say, I spent my senior year in High School reading this story. One chapter at a time. Words can't express how much I adored this story. 


That story was Queen of Glass. 


And a year later, in 2008, I was thrilled to find that Sarah J. Maas was pursing publication. It was bittersweet, though, because it meant her taking Queen of Glass off of Fiction. 


And now, 10 years after she first posted Queen of Glass on Fiction Press, it now has a new title and an official publication date. It's now Throne of Glass and it will be released August 7, 2012. Words cannot express how EXCITED I am to read this. 


Not to mention, LOOK AT THE GORGEOUS COVER! *fangirls* It was just revealed two days ago, and in light of the new cover, I decided to pick this as my WoW. And to promote her book, Sarah is planning to release four e-novellas before the official novel's release. The first three are already out: The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Desert, and The Assassin and the Underworld. The fourth, The Assassin and the Empire, does not have a release date yet. These all take place two years before the events in Throne of Glass.
